HATHA YOGA: Postures, combined with regulated breath, performed in a systematic, mindful manner, emphasizing precision and alignment. Drawing from many traditions, this class is eclectic in style. General level, suitable for Beginners and Intermediate students.
POWER YOGA: Primary series: A vigorous asana practice involving a specific breathing technique and muscle contraction synchronized with movement. A form of vinyasa (continuous movement) yoga, the class is a hot, sweaty workout. This class is presented in the style of Beryl Binder Birch, author of Power Yoga and Beyond Power Yoga. YOGA FOR JOINTS, GLANDS & ORGANS: Simple, non-strenuous practice to relieve stiffness and stress, toning, stretching and strengthening, joints and muscles, invigorating internal organs and glands, and detoxifying the lymph system. Students report improved motor skills, heightened visual and auditory perceptions, enhanced respiratory and digestive function. Suitable for all. RESTORATIVE YOGA: A limited number of supported postures into which you relax completely. Combining ancient knowledge and modern science we relieve ourselves from the destructive forces of chronic stress. This class provides time to enter a healing state of mind, rejuvenating and restoring on many levels. Unlike Hatha, in which postures are held dynamically, these poses present only the challenge of relaxation. Vinyasa Yoga: Take your practice to the next level with a fun filled fast paced Vinyasa Yoga class. This class is designed for Intermediate to Advanced practitioners who have an understanding of the basic postures. We will flow dynamically from one posture to the next with emphasis on strong breath, your heart rate will definitely go up! Flow: Gentle flow class. Class is beginner to intermediate level, where flowing postures are linked together to a sequence. Lunch time Yoga:Revitalize and give yourself an engery boost with a short centering breathing practice, energizing standing postures and back/shoulder openers.
